Squorli for the desktop

The same interface as in the browser, as a program of its own: sign in with your Directory account and the app opens your servers. Add servers without the Directory by address or invite link.

Good to know

  • The installers are not signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen warns on the first start: choose “More info”, then “Run anyway”. Every download lists its checksum.
  • Updates: the Windows app and the AppImage look for new versions on squorli.com, download them in the background and install them the next time the app restarts. Version 0.1.0 cannot do that yet and is replaced by hand once.
  • Screen sharing on Windows: share the audio of exactly one window, or the system audio without Squorli itself. Listeners only hear it once they select your share.
  • Links of the form squorli://… open the app right on a server or an invite. You only join an unknown server after a click.
  • macOS follows later.
